This video shows a huge seedling digging machine is designed to uproot large seedlings or young trees efficiently and safely. The process begins as the machine positions its curved, blade-like arms around the base of the seedling. With hydraulic power, the blades slice through the soil in a circular motion, cutting cleanly around the root ball.
As the blades dig deeper, they form a compact soil root package to protect the roots. The entire seedling, along with its root ball, is gently lifted from the ground using a lifting frame or clamping arms. Once extracted, it’s placed onto transport beds or into containers for replanting.
This method ensures minimal root disturbance, high survival rates, and fast, large-scale transplantation — ideal for nurseries, landscaping, and forest restoration.
