In this video I show you all how I un-braze or “sweat” out an old compressor.
I like to do this instead of just cutting the lines so that I save as much as possible of the line incase I need slack for the new one.
This is and LG r134a compressor that im replacing in this video.
As part of the prep I’ve found its best if possible to remove the clips securing the compressor tho the cabinet of the refrigerator and the shift the compressor to the side away from the lines so that once you start to sweat them the start to pop out on thier own due to the tension of the pulling force on them.
