Found this scroll compressor with a mechanical failure. likely a broken scroll plate or crank. Unfortunately it’s under warranty so I won’t be able to cut it open to investigate until warranty was went through. It’s interesting to watch the drastic fluctuations in the amp draw as the compressor attempts to run.
