Keeping Forestry Work Fun Chipping and Moving Sawmill Logs

Keeping forestry work fun is what I’m all about as I’m out chipping and moving sawmill logs on today’s episode. If work isn’t fun it becomes a chore and that’s not something I want sawing logs to be come. With my trusty Kioti tractor sitting at 32 pto horsepower, I’m spitting out wood chips with ease using my Woodland Mills WC68 Wood Chipper. As you’ll see in today’s episode, having an in-feed roller that draws the wood into the blades on it’s own is one nice feature. No forcing logs into the wood chipper chute means I can work more safer and with less effort. With trees freshly fallen I’m also bucking and moving logs to my sawmill using this same tractor paired with a HLA 66″ root rake with hydraulic grapple. Although a third-function would be nice on my loader joystick, I am still using long hydraulic lines running from my rear-remotes to my front loader to power the grapple. Being careful not to damage the logs, I’m stacking the logs on the log deck at the sawmill in preparation for sawing for my equipment shed siding. Glad all you folks are here for today’s chipping and cutting adventures. Here we go!
